The Board

The Board of Green Vale Homes has overall responsibility for managing our homes.

The Board is made up of six Tenant Board Members, two Board Members chosen by Rossendale Borough Council, and four independent Board members. For more information on each of our Member please go to our Meet the Board section.

Berenice Leyland, a Tenant Board Member, is Chair of the Board. She can be contacted by writing to her at Green Vale Homes, Green Vale Court, New Hall Hey Road, Rawtenstall, Lancashire, BB4 6HR.

Board Members are appointed for a three-year period.

There are six Tenant Board Members - one each for Rawtenstall, Bacup & Stacksteads, Haslingden, Whitworth and Waterfoot, plus a Borough-wide position. In order to provide continuity, two Tenant Board Members are replaced each year. If you live in the areas where there is a vacancy and you are a Green Vale tenant, then you are eligible to stand for election.

Tenant Elections

Green Vale Homes has recently conducted election processes for the Waterfoot, and Bacup and Stacksteads areas in order to elect Tenant Members to the Board of Green Vale Homes.

Janet Staig was the only candidate to stand from the Waterfoot area and as such was elected unopposed. The Bacup and Stacksteads election was conducted by the Electoral Reform Services, in which Frank Evans was the successful candidate. The full result can be found here.
