NOTES
To terminate a tenancy 4 weeks notice is required unless transferring to another Green Vale Homes property. However this can be amended following a death of a tenant or if the property can be let more quickly.
All keys for each external door must be handed in, including those for window locks/sheds etc.
On inspection of the property, any repairs identified that are the responsibility of the tenant will be recharged. Please contact your Estate Management Officer if you are in doubt.
Please ensure that you clean and clear out the property.
Keys for the property should be handed in by 12:00 noon on the Monday-termination date.
You should notify the gas, electricity and water boards to arrange for the meters to be read before the keys are handed in.
Please note that you may not be eligible for Housing Benefit, should you decide to leave the property prior to the expiry of your notice. Please note there is no entitlement to Housing Benefit after the death of a tenant. If in doubt check with the Housing Benefit Office on 0845 900 0500.
