Berenice Leyland
Berenice has served as both Chair and Secretary of Bacup and Stacksteads EMB and was Vice-Chair of Governors at a primary school for 12 years. She has been trained extensively with the Priority Estates Project. She has recently gained the Institute of Leadership and Management Award for Governance. Berenice worked in stock and quality control until her retirement and has also worked with the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Vice Chair
Stephen Griffiths
Stephen is a member of the Green Vale Board and is a non-executive director with Calderdale Primary Care Trust. He also serves as a magistrate in Rochdale. Stephen has worked with housing associations in the development of financial models for the provision of social housing and has been a Director of Outlet, a special needs housing organisation. He hopes to use his financial, practical and people skills to develop a high quality of service for tenants.

David Williams
David is a Chartered Surveyor who has worked in the affordable housing sector for the past 15 years. He is currently Director of Property Services for Eastlands Homes Partnership. He joined Eastlands Homes prior to the transfer from Manchester City Council and he was instrumental in the set up of the new organisation. He has extensive experience of stock transfer, delivery of improvement programmes and audit inspection. David lives in Rossendale and brings a wealth of senior management experience to the Board.

Andrew Voss
Andrew is a commercial Chartered Surveyor and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. In his current role at Tameside MBC, he is the Strategic Asset Manager with lead responsibility for corporate asset management planning, property and service strategies, business planning, improvement and performance, partnership working (including co-location and asset transfer), and tacking repair and maintenance backlog issues and targetting investment.
Previously in senior roles at Capita in Blackburn, Rochdale MBC and Manchester City Council, he has developed extensive land sales, property development, regeneration, business development and change management experience. In particular he has previous involvement with stock transfers, and at Rochdale , provided advice on the Oldham/Rochdale HMR Pathfinder.
Andrew has been affiliated with Green Vale Homes prior to transfer, and as part of the Board has overseen the transition from a traditional local authority housing department to a modern, agile new business.
Andrew lives in Ramsbottom, and has family in the Rossendale area, which he knows well.

Heather Massie
Heather is a retired civil servant who has lived in Rossendale since 1993. She has a wide experience of strategic planning and leadership and also operational management. Heather is Independent Chair of Lancashire County Council's Standards Committee, and chair of trustees of Rossendale Enterprise Anchor Ltd., a social enterprise committed to bringing about social and economic regeneration in the Valley and with a particular interest in promoting health and well-being. Her interests include hill walking, travel and the theatre.

Brenda Riley
Until her retirement Brenda worked as director's secretary and then company secretary for a local engineering firm. She also has a background in marketing and has organised exhibitions in England and Europe. Brenda has a keen interest in tenant participation and has served as the Secretary of the Haslingden EMB since 1993. She has continued receiving training throughout her time with the Board

Bryan Adlum
Bryan has been a tenant of Green Vale Homes and Rossendale Council for 15 years at the Old Row Sheltered Housing Scheme.
Up to retiring he was a joiner for 35 years, before that he was an ambulance driver/attendant for 10 years.
He has been involved with many charitable organisations since retiring including 10 years with Age Concern as a benefits adviser, with the Health Service as a 'Speakeasy' adviser, and also 4 years with Social Services as a lay assessor visiting care homes and nursing homes.
He was also with East Lancashire Hospice on the wards for 12 years as a volunteer and 10 years with Rossendale Hospice.
Bryan was a countryside guide with Rossendale Groundwork for 12 years, and his last committee involvement was with 'Code of Practice' as a tenant.

Jack Dalton
Jack has financial expertise and a strong background in project costing and budget maintenance, and he is also familiar with charitable fund raising. He also has qualifications in supervisory management. Jack, from Whitworth, serves on the executive of several tenants' organisations. He has continued to develop his skills through ongoing training. Jack is also interested in sheltered housing and older people's issues and he is Chair of Rossendale Seniors' Advisory Group.

Frank Evans
Frank has lived and worked in Bacup for the last 40 years after moving from Rochdale. He enjoys living in Bacup and has made a lot of friends there.
He became involved with the Tenants' Management Organisation in late 2001, and got involved with the concerns of other tenants' needs, manly in the repairs and maintenance part. He shadowed the voids inspectors, in particular on how they could improve on the lettability of the houses the Council that were out for rent. Frank thinks that he has made a difference to the lettability of our homes, with the help of all the housing staff involved in the process.
He worked through the whole of the stock transfer on various committees until the actual transfer in 2006, and still plays an active role in the repairs and maintenance side, inspecting voids and monitoring the outcomes.
Frank believes that we all have a right to a decent home, and has undergone training so that he has the knowledge and experience to help support tenants' rights.

Judith Driver
Judith is a qualified nursery nurse who works with special educational needs children in mainstream school. She is currently on Rossendale Council's Executive Committee (The Cabinet). Judith has lived in Bacup all her life and has served Greensclough Ward as a Conservative councillor since 1998. She was also a member of Bacup and Stacksteads EMB.

Hazel Steen
Hazel is the Conservative Councillor on Rossendale Borough Council for Irwell Ward. She sits on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Standards Committee.
Outside the Council she is involved with Maden Community and Childrens Centre Partnership and East Lancashire into Employment.
