Please note that we are temporarily unable to clear and grit the paths on the sheltered housing schemes as we have done until now.
Unfortunately, because of the current prolonged cold weather, we have been unable to obtain fresh supplies of salt/grit and without this we cannot treat the paths. Please will residents and visitors take extra care and take additional precautions if venturing out.
Alternatively please consider postponing journeys altogether if possible until conditions improve. We are very sorry that we cannot maintain the level of service that we aim to provide for residents.
We are still trying to obtain fresh supplies of salt/grit but at the moment demand is outstripping supply. I assure you that as soon as we are able to restock we will be back out to resume the snow clearing and gritting service.
