Brrr it’s cold!
In this recent cold weather wouldn’t it be nice to get away to somewhere a little warmer, if only for a few days? You would come back refreshed but would you come back ready to clear up the mess of collapsed ceilings, water soaked carpets and furniture.
No, indeed that would be awful!
If you are going away for a few days or longer please follow the tips below:
· Inform Green Vale Homes that you are going away and for how long.
· Leave a contact number with Green Vale Homes and/or a key so that if the worst happens we can at least get in and minimise the damage.
· Leave your heating on - If you can’t do this then drain down your cold water system to minimise the risk of burst pipes.
It’s your responsibility to ensure your property is frost proof.
If you are not already insured then this would be a good time to ensure your household items are fully insured, if the worst was to happen you would at least be able to claim for the replacement of goods with your insurers.
