Pennine Housing 2000 tenants can move home by exchanging with another Pennine Housing tenant. You can also exchange homes with a tenant from a housing association or with a Council tenant from another area. This is different from a transfer in that you are not moving to an empty property but move on the same day as your exchange partner.
A mutual exchange is an alternative way of moving if you want to remain with Pennine Housing 2000 or other housing association and you are unlikely to be offered a property on a transfer. This usually happens when you want to move for your own convenience but you have little or no housing need as defined in Pennine Housings' allocations policy.
