What is the Sanctuary Scheme ?
The Sanctuary Scheme helps victims of domestic violence to remain in their own home if they want to do so.
Many victims of domestic violence become homeless as a result of the violence and abuse. Every year, thousands of woman and their children move out of their own homes and into refuges or temporary accommodation because of their fear of their partner or ex-partner.

They may fear that the abuser will break into their home, particularly if he or she has lived there in the past. We will arrange for security measures such as door locks, a door viewer, alarms, phones or window locks to be fitted in the home.
