As a landlord, Pennine Housing 2000 is bound by the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulation 1998. Amongst other things, these require that ALL gas appliances are maintained in a safe condition and are checked by a qualified engineer at least annually.
As a responsible landlord, Pennine Housing 2000 accepts its duties under the Regulations. This document provides Guidance and Instruction for staff in ensuring that the company achieves the Annual Servicing of the 14,000 appliances installed in 10,000 homes.
BASIC PRINCIPLES
The Company will:
- Acheive 100% servicing of gas appliance each year
- Maintain a database of servicing activity
- Compy with current Legislation and Codes of Practice
- Operate a customer-friendly servicing process in order to encourage maximum efficiency
- Use all information and powers in a co-ordinated manner to acheive 100% servicing
- Work with Partners and Contractors to share good practice and, if required, resources
